Quick beige head, then just halo. Arabesque lacing. Cinnamon and nutmeg on toasted brioche, graham cracker, ginger snap nose. Deconstructs quickly to a bread-y and lovely marzen with brown sugar, malt sugar viscosity buoying, and light lemon and orange peel fixings. Gorgeous and so in step with the seasonality.

Amber waves with egg white colored foam halo. Laced with paisley slippage hippo-crocodile submersions. Lovely clementine nose with candied lemon and grapefruit peels, green strawberries, bruised pineapple, and lime kefir. Lemon on the lips, then smoothie of lime and near-peach, grapefruit and kumquat, yellow mulberry, and lemon cream. Teally good session ipa here! Best of class!

Wow! First to review. Notice the bottle of Halo by trefethen to the right? Opened this after sharing that other bottle. Bought this before think Kirkland wines are usually interesting and delicious and limited. Especially the reds. This $10 Kirkland napa blend is a steal. I bet in a blind taste people wouldn’t guess it was $10. I wish I bought more. I predict next time I go to Costco which I is next week it will not be available. — 2 years ago
Super easy drinking red that can go with everything. Love how you can have it chilled or cool room temperature. It's light with some cherry and licorice. It's a fun, easy beaujolais. Love a good chillable wine and can totally see myself drinking this on the regular.
Color: dark rich red color like a red plum. Reminds me od communion grape juice and wine but with a lovely red halo.
Aroma: light aroma with some black cherry scents and a super light licorice under aroma, super light.
Taste: Served slightly chilled. It's super light like a beaujolais, some light black cherry. It kinda reminds me of cherry dr pepper but not sweet and light and delicate in flavor. — a year ago
Soft, lovely, bread-y nose of black currant fur, licorice, light mint forcing upward, sprouting through potting soil. Cinnamon and blueberry warmly embraced by dark bread and small specks of black pepper. Fruit tannins thickly house-painted across your front teeth in a real sense. Muscle. Licorice-charcoal, bitters, blackberry, black currant, graphite-smoke halo, black cherry, oak and cedar, wound up and closed in places, but powerhouse lurking in the shadows.

And then the heavy hitter was brought in to close the night. A 20 year old Trefethen’s Halo . My goodness. Juice that was so dense, rich and complex, squeezed from dark boysenberry, blue berry, dark cherry fruits. Laced with vanilla and hints of cigar box and fresh new leather. All so well integrated, so complete and carried by fine polished tannins to an incredible finish. No wonder this wine was gone before we had landed back with both feet on the ground. — 3 years ago

The halo on the photo describes the nose. Gorgeous. Alongside some incredible wines this shines. A gregarious lush nose with red fruit, roses and soft luscious finish. Gorgeous — 4 months ago
