Iron Horse Vineyards

Classic Vintage Brut Sparkling Blend 2019

Pale lemon in color with a golden hue.

Soft nose of green apples, light yeast and minerals.

Medium bodied with medium plus acidity.

Dry on the palate with nice complexity and a touch of RS.

Showing apples, light citrus, lemons, yeast, brioche, spices, minerals, herbs, sea salt and light earth.

Long finish with limes and light marzipan.

What a great surprise! This is a delicious sparkling wine from Russian River Valley.

Elegant, rich and fruit forward. Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel.

Showing nice complexity already, and would be nice to revisit it in 3 years.

A great sipping wine and better when not too cold.

A blend of 67% Pinot Noir and 33% Chardonnay. Aged for 3 years on the lees.

13.5% alcohol by volume.

92 points.

Grand Vin de Leoville du Marquis de las Cases Saint-Julien Red Bordeaux Blend 1982

42 years and retains dark ruby color with little coaxing required. No decant but opened bottle for about an hour. Cassis in broad shoulders yet elegant wine. Absolute delight. Long life remaining. Wow! — 22 days ago

I have an ‘82 that I have been sitting on. This is great encouragement! Appreciate the experience in avoiding a decant and the 98 result. So glad it delivered for you!

Château Pontet-Canet

Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend 2016

If I could use just one word? Intense! Still tight but the layers of dark fruit are starting to shine through the angular, lead pencil soaked tannins. Everything is super balanced and leads you to a grippy, lingering finish. Drinking it right here in the Idaho Mountains! What a life. Oh, talking about Idaho. It finally got on the map of Wine Folly!
