Classic NZ label. Smells funky. Lawn just cut or a piece of fresh grass in the teeth. And lemon citrus peels. Flavors are complex and very audacious. Bombastic even. Plenty of citrus, but something else as well. Shells? Like the calcium carbonate in those. Also big gooseberries. This is a good example of how NZ Sauv Blanc differs from the other styles out there. This is the 2022 Greywacke Sauvignon Blanc. This is from Marlborough, New Zealand.

On the nose is the distinct aromas of lime, grapefruit, white peach, guava herbal notes, grass and pear.

On the palate there is grapefruit, lime, pineapple, mango and white peach.

This is a medium bodied wine with a cleanfresh mouth watering mothfeel medium+ acidity and a lind crusp citrus lime grapefruit finish. A wonderful wine for the money. Perfect quaff for quick tropical beach getaway.., shaking my head at all the high end cab being consumed on a warm evening in Anguilla on the beach.
