When I first opened the bottle I was concerned it would not open until dinner was over.. After an hour in the decanter, the tell tale Vatan signs of weight, balance and spearmint began to emerge. Truly strutting it’s stuff at the 2 plus hour mark.

Super young and tense. Yellow and green inflected citrus, pepper grass, ginger honey, musk, very mineral. Layered, dry and clean. Nowhere near ready to drink but it is so beautiful.

Apr 11th, 2017Wow! Quite a baby but absolutely gorgeous. A truly special wine that I was hesitant about because of all the hype but this was very good. Great balance, tons of weight on the mid-palate and fennel on the nose.
