It took a few hours to open up, initially it was lacking the minerality and depth I expected but it got there eventually. This is super clean, like it washed down a northern German creek and straight into the bottle clean. Lemony fresh, lime juice, all the citrus in there on the finish. — 13 days ago
Thicker than 2021, but just as lifted. A Kabinett of light and air, with enough density to carry you. The acidity was joy itself. The mouthfeel was silk in motion. There's something about the 2023s, they have more breadth, more echo. Like the 21s got stretched sideways in all the right ways.
I didn't take notes. I just sat there. And felt better after a brutal day. Because sometimes, at the end of a brutal day, all you need is a Steinmetz Kabinett to remind you that life still has sweetness. — 4 months ago
Transformative. That Mosel balance but with the PG tropicality.
Nose: yellow flowers. Apricot flower. So perfumed. So so pretty.
Palate: perfect. Gossamer. Perfect texture. Apricot extract. Amazing.
A very detailed and elegant PG auslese. They can be quite forward in a tropical way. This is so elegant

I didn’t take any notes on this one, but it stood out for its full throttle intensity, married to supreme elegance, with a textured mouthfeel. Long, resonant finish. First try with this bottling, and I would have purchased two additional cases had I known how brilliant it is. Will back up the truck next year. Hard to believe how open this is at this age, and I don’t know how I will be able to hold on to these for the long haul. — 2 months ago
Wow, medium yellow color, very nice floral apricot honeyed with just a hint of that petrol underneath, with a light lithe texture into a bit more acidic finish. 8% ABV. Must have aged well since last time, last one unfortunately — 5 days ago

Stone fruit aromas, lemon, lots of lime, with a slate and smoke background, white flowers. Palate with super fresh acidity, good concentration. At least a 30 year wine. — 16 days ago
