Beautiful, classic Grafenberg. The nose is ripe and generous, led by apple and pear, with peach, apricot and slaty minerality underneath. Just awesome. Insane spice and mulberry on the nose along with oolong tea and a suave, sleek, stunningly textured palate with silky tannins and unreal clarity of fruit. Just delicious. Outrageous. Just crazy. Huge herbals. Huge florals. Tree bark, citrus stem, unreal aromas. Confectionary. Nose is a 9.9. Just incredible. Palate is just killer. Super elegant and deep with a midpalate I can get lost in. Superb fruit soak and unreal purity. Gently concentrated. Pure apple, melon and apricot fruit. Drinking so well now. After 16 hours open this continues to develop amazingly. Unreal confectionary nose. Some classic vulcanized rubber and unreal clarity. This is genius. Smarties nose. Palate is so fine and nimble but it’s got some weight and heft. Juicy and so clean. Icing on a cake texture. Just stunning. — 7 months ago

Stunningly lifted and floral, with an extraordinary waft of minerality that seems to float out of the glass. The palate combines enormous acidity, freshness, density and concentration with just enough flesh and richness to give the fruit shape, yet somehow remains almost weightless. There is a little of 2021’s precision and electricity and a little of 2017’s generosity, but the defining quality is exactitude. A hot day and Cambodian modern at@Mawn restaurant, so natch. Not the greatest glasses but serviceable enough.
Mouth filling orchard fruit with a decidedly underripe peach quality, white flowers and a refreshing peppery, stony wash of a finish. This was an accompaniment wine, no studying, swishing ( well, a bit), or developing in the glass. Got along perfectly with roasted Dorade, Sweet/Sour/Chili Head on Soft Shell Shrimp, begging for another glug.Texturally interesting as the entry was round, flattened out and finished with a snap. Our waitress was very curious and highly approved of her portion. No rough edges here. Happiness all around.

Nose: yellow flowers. Apricot flower. So perfumed. So so pretty.

Palate: perfect. Gossamer. Perfect texture. Apricot extract. Amazing.

A very detailed and elegant PG auslese. They can be quite forward in a tropical way. This is so elegant

Insane concentration for a Mosel wine. Has all the slate minerality, complex white and yellow florals, tropical fruit ie guava pineapple; has the signature Steinmetz searing acidity (in a good way) but with a density similar to a Pflaz GG. Spectacular. This is a top wine. @Lyle Fass — 9 months ago

Just excellent. Crisp, precise minerality but what really makes it stand out is the savoriness not found in other rieslings- it's that bite of a luscious ripe white peach plucked from the branch on a sunny day.

Nose starts out so quiet. Some light peach and minerality. Now it’s opening and we are getting some nice peach juice, vulcanized rubber, minerals and some confectionary notes. A deep honey note now and also some intense minerals. Smells round. Smells so pure and so fresh. Wow great acids and freshness. Man this is awesome! Impossibly complex and so much honey, peach, lime and driving mineral force. Unreal intensity and a step above the other two Piesport Kabi’s in 2023. The finish is so so salty and endless. This is super elite. Unreal complexity and intensity and what a finish that never ends. This also has excessive crushed rock minerality. Wow. Insane!!! — 2 years ago
