First time trying the 2016 in 2022. Very smooth, lovely wine. Alas, last bottle. — 3 days ago
Mocha and strawberry 😍 — a day ago
Certainly one of the best bottles of Métras I've had. It was just so captivating, with sweet red fruits, roses, and Indian spices bursting out of the glass. Blinded, I went back to the wine time and time again out of shear pleasure instead of scrutiny for identification. Oops, the cat’s out of the bag! There was just this purity and vibrancy that made it so drinkable. How could I resist. Plus the fine, yet “slippery” texture made it so intriguing. Ended long with lively acids and great salinity. As for the blind - played the man and thought it was one of those new age Spanish producers. The sweetness of the fruit and spices threw me a curveball too. Nevertheless, it never took away from how magical this bottle was. A one on the binary scale! — 19 days ago
Francois’ warehouse after tasting his and Val’s wines. Lively wine. Spicy. Tannic, but with sweet fruit finish. — 7 days ago
Never before have I come across a wine with such an intense aroma of strawberries. Also raspberries and blossom in this featherweight delight. — 4 days ago
Light ruby colour evoking Pinot-noir.
Beautiful nose that pinote on raspberry and especially vegetable notes: anise, fennel, herbs, dried flowers etc. Delicate mouth with fine tannins, but nevertheless with beautiful chewing material, return of raspberry and pepper in the finish. The perfect Beaujolais bourguignon. I love it!
J’adore! — a month ago
Peter Sultan
Magnum, from a private cellar sold via wine store. The concentration is there, but the vibrancy & fruit are on the downward slope. But a 40$ experiment well worth the pull. — 4 days ago
