Amazing Gicondas — 4 months ago
Aromatics of new leather and dried fruit. Not your average Côtes du Rhône as you would expect from Chateau de Beaucastel. More full bodied than expected to go with our chicken dish. Far richer than Guigal’s version of Côtes du Rhône. Had my last bottle 11 weeks later on 27th February 2026 with consistent notes. — 7 months ago
Dark purple in color with a wide reddish rim.
Black fruits with wood, earth and chocolate notes on the nose.
Full-bodied with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with black currants, black plums, cooked cherries, spices, light oak, licorice, chocolates, peppercorn, coffee, earth and black tea.
Medium plus on the finish with round tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a delicious Grenache based blend from Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Rich and concentrated. Showing good structure, but still very young, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years.
Complex and well balanced, tangy and engaging. The high alcohol is not too noticeable. Needs time to open up properly, so be patient.
Wine Spectator 92 points. Robert Parker 94 points.
A good quality wine that will pair nicely with a big piece of steak.
A blend of mostly Grenache, with all 13 grape varieties allowed in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, from 80 year old vines. Aged in French oak barrels for 18 months.

Very elegant Cabernet from Washington. — 2 months ago
Notes from memory after many months - just remember this was beautifully integrated and singing after 14 years. I’m a huge fan of this Rhône Négociant and producer; consistently excellent. #vinsobres — 8 months ago
Nicely balanced Côtes du Rhône, enjoyed with steak frites at STK restaurant in Boston — 4 months ago
Awesome wine. Honeyed, apricot, peach skin, crushed stone, floral, hint of tea, medium bodied, hint of nuttiness and medium to medium plus acid. Really fun and complex. Wish the acid was a touch higher. 13%abv — 4 months ago
Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.
Fresh red berries on the nose with Indian spices and chocolate notes.
Medium in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate and complex.
Showing raspberries, cherries, black currants, plums, light oak, spices, chocolates, earth, coffee, wet leaves and herbs.
Medium length on the finish with round tannins and tangy cherries.
This young Grenache blend from Châteauneuf-du-Pape is very approachable, and already drinking beautifully, but needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly.
Well balanced and tangy, with good structure. Spicy and entertaining. Alcohol is nicely integrated already. Complex and engaging.
I had this wine as a 20 year old, and it was so much better with age.
This 2022 vintage in Châteauneuf-du-Pape is already showing its possibilities. Will continue to age nicely in the next 25 years.
Delicious by itself or with food.
