Heavy for a Pinot - wonderbar — 3 months ago
Medium deep yellow lemon colour . Very fine constant perlage . Quite rich nose with lemon peel , brioche , yeasty autolytic character, toasted nuts . Round and toasty on the palate also , with brioche , baked apple , roasted nuts , orange and lemon rind . Good balance with refreshing acidity and a slight mineral tinge on the reasonable length finish . This is probably in its drinking window , showing well now and will continue to do so for the next 10 years or so. Not the most complex or thought provoking tete de cuvee , though well made and enjoyable at this stage. — 4 months ago
2023/4 holidays. Classic and wonderful - hugely aromatic, hints of flor / salinity but lots of nutty, caramel and dried fruit character give a sense of sweetness though the wine is dry, making it a great partner for aged hard cheeses. Good balancing acidity too. — 4 months ago
2/2024. Drinks well. Fruit , nuts and tartness. Easy for me to drink. Very nice with salty potato chips. — 3 months ago

Happy Birthday Christina. 🎂 🎉 🥳
I have been holding this bottle for her birthday for about 5 years since we had this vintage last. Worth the wait. So much more complex now.
The fruits are more subtle and the toasted mixed nut buffet has taken hold. Butterscotch hard candy. Round, creamy, subdued lemon & pineapple juice, hints of lime on the long set, Bosc pear, white peach, whipped cream, brioche, some bread dough, some of the most beautiful yeastiness, what amazing, soft chalkiness, sea spray, undertones of white spice, crushed/powdery limestone, fresh, blooming Spring flowers & yellow lilies, excellent, perfect, crisp acidity, layers and layers on the well; knitted, balanced, structured, brilliantly polished, elegant finish that lasts minutes.
I’ve had some nice champagne lately and this beats everything except 02 & 96 Krug. — 3 months ago
Nice bubbles that you can drink without needing to put it in a mimosa. New Year’s 2023/24 — 3 months ago
1st wine of the new year and had to open something fun. Of course, enjoyed with its classic pairing of chicken wings 😉
1.5 hour decant(minimal fine/cloudy sediment). A stunning dark purplish magenta color. On the nose: brambly red berries, herbaceous, wet forest floor, graphite, floral. Taste: silky, soft, juicy, layered beautiful mouthfeel wine with red plum, dark chocolate, dried herbs, touch of spice and a cedar espresso captivating long finish. YUM! — 4 months ago
