Maybe it would make a better sangria base. Semi-dry my ass, sugary sweet is more like it. — 24 days ago

Opened up real nice. Tons of sediment after years of cellaring as you can see. Not sure it was worth the wait. It’s a great blend but lacks the full punch of a big bold cab. If I recall, I preferred some of the other single vineyard cabs from Duckhorn when we were club members. Makes sense that the Paraduxx winery would focus on blends. Now I understand why The Discussion for which this wine gets its namesake was had. — a month ago
Wow, what a deal at < $20 / bottle
Wine spectator says #69 of top 100 of 2014.
A burly, brambly red, underscored by tarry smoke and underbrush notes, offering flavors of blackberry coulis, herb-marinated black olive, grilled mushroom and ground spice. This shows muscle that recommends it to short-term cellaring, made accessible by integration and balance. Drink now through 2024. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. #69 – 91 points — 2 months ago
