Simply delightful. Dark and nutty. Wow 🤩 I’m so happy to have tried this.

One of the best Olorosos I've had in quite some time. It is remarkably Madeira like-- much more so than other Olorosos I've had. The palate is both explosive and expansive with the perfect kiss of residual sugar: dried banana, walnut, oatmeal, root beer, figs, treated leather, cigar--- this could go on for a while.

Attenuated nose, higher viscosity, yet very dry. Extraordinarily complex palate and refined finish. Citrus peel, walnuts, dried fruit.

What you get for the extra $10 (and 250ml less) from Emperatriz Eugenia is massive compared to the entry Don Nuno (both Oloroso). Depth, complexity, something to think about. Mahogany caramel colored with aromas of sandalwood and sweet dates. Winey sweet palette of dried figs, golden raisins, and burnt toffee.

By far one of my favourite sherries. It's got it all. Absolutely cracking oloroso that oozes class. Dry dry dry but with a glycerol finish that coats the mouth like fine honey. Excellent value for money, too.

Yum. I like the sherried, lean dry quality. Great length, dry middle.
