Excellent. A deep concentrated plum color in the glass. Beautiful aromas of dark red fruits and fresh herbs. Mushrooms and some incredibly clean funk. There’s a bit of coffee and dried cherries. Oak and fresh foliage.
I do love these wines. Exquisite and so immediately approachable. A very clean wine that is still able to display such charm and personality. Soft, supple, and silky. Medium bodied and elegant. Very smooth on the tongue with more mushrooms and red and blue fruits. Herbs are striking, especially on the long finish.
Still quite young but oh so good. Drink one every year and you’ll be happy. — 2 months ago
2014 - Vintage red rim color , cherry fruit , giving way to mushrooms, and undergrowth, rose petal med. plus acidity, a little lacking in the mouth — 6 months ago
My first bottle of janthial wow this is good. Pack energy, freshness, beautiful yellow fruits with a green edge and loads of that burgundy ‘je ne sais quoi’ 😉. Drank at lunch in Chalon sur Saone. — 3 months ago
2014 Vintage - Having during the crazy rain here in California beef roast and Rully- red tawny rim mushroom, truffle, earth, cherry fruit the secondary aromas taking over drinking nicely now glad I didn’t wait too much longer — 2 years ago
