Antichi Vigneti Propri Riserva Barolo Nebbiolo 1964

Hard to describe though my first impression was of dusty flowers. Still vibrant with a decent finish. — a month ago

Don Maximiano Founder's Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 1987

Medium garnet ,medium terracotta rim . Quite spiced , dried fruits, tobacco , touch of caramel , warm earth . Smoky . On the palate quite sweet mix of red and dark fruits, red plum , dark cherry , spiced tobacco, hickory . Quite sweet on the finish , menthol hint, with a touch of caramel on the finish, slightly grippy tannin. This improved quite a lot in the glass , with more fruit noticeable , fills out quite well , better balance. Drink now and over the next couple of years. — 3 months ago

Barolo Nebbiolo 2020

Young and not so expensive, delicious for a Barolo at this price ($38). Lots of roses, good acidity in the tar, nice tannins, steel, dark cherry, light leather, touch of black pepper, dirt next to a mushroom. A touch lighter than typical Barolo. From Main Street Wine and Gourmet, Orleans. 12/31/2024 Happy New Year! — 13 days ago

Barolo Nebbiolo

Wine 2 from Nobel banquet (photos not allowed, found via search in app) was youthful and intense, tannins not too obtrusive, and with anise, red and black cherries, and leafy - went perfectly with the ”chicken and porridge”. — 25 days ago

Barolo Nebbiolo 2017

2017 vintage. Medium body. Upon opening, fairly compact for a “resto vintage”. The usual tar and dark cherry notes. The longer this was open, the more fanciful it got. French Toast. Cola nut. Chambord. Eucalyptus. White pepper. Pomegranate/hibiscus. Transitioned into a Barolo/(red) Burgundy hybrid. Not enuff structure to go more than 4-5 years in this current uniform. Would attempt another open field tackle again in the near future tho. If you wanna crush an above-decent Barolo tonight without infanticide/ca$hi$h/non-compliant tannin issues, you could do immeasurably worse. 12.15.24. — a month ago
