Domaine Porto Carras

W. & J. Graham's

Vintage Port Blend 1985

[8 hour decant] The spirit in this bottle seems non-integrated, which is the first 1985 Graham’s we’ve drunk where I recall this being the case, this is less sweet as well, so ultimately a good, but not great, bottle of 1985 Graham’s. We’ll see how future bottles of this wine show. — a day ago

Not my first bottle, but sadly my last. Unless someone wants to send me one for Christmas? — 25 days ago

Limited Edition Very Old Single Harvest Porto 1961

1961 vintage. Great nuttiness and caramel notes. Lacking the back end oomph of vintage port. Still, pretty quaffable. — 2 months ago

Fonseca

Vintage Port Blend 2007

Given my "too early" assessment in 2021, I decanted this bottle 6 hours in advance. Beautiful nose of purple fruit / violets. Early drinking window. Good balance. Not spectacular but solid. For my palate this will be the best in the coming 5-10 years when the fruit is still notably present. — 19 days ago

The Fonseca bottle was gone in no time so we opened another 2007 from my cellar.I love the more feminine, elegant, ethereal style of Taylor's . Excellent bottle. Violets galore — 19 days ago

Quinta do Noval

Single Vineyard Late Bottled Vintage Unfiltered Porto 2011

Rich aromas of caramel and raisins, light on the palate but round, with raisins and figs and the perfect level of sweetness. From our trip to Portugal at the end of 2018. — a month ago
