Longtime favorite and I snap up this foxy number whenever I see it. Crunchy strawberry and herbs, a bit of animal and yeast at the end but not too much to compromise the freshness. I don’t think this ages and should be drunk up but that doesn’t make it any less special — 2 months ago

Winemaker Notes:
“The Blanc de Blancs Signature Brut is the jewel of Maison Philippe Gonet, founded in 1830, in the village of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. This exceptional cuvée is made from Chardonnays from prestigious terroirs of the Côte des Blancs, the Côte de Sézanne and Montgueux, offering a pure expression of the 100% Chardonnay grape variety.” — a month ago
Gorgeous nose of deep cherry fruit, tweed jacket, minerals and wet earth. Gorgeous and classic SLB and classic Girard. Fleshy and ripe but excellent cut and grip. Superb supple red fruits and nice finesse for such a humble wine. Tiny berry fruit intensity and so sappy. Great dissipation on the finish. — 2 months ago

Solid, gritty and aromatic Fichots. Even in a forward vintage like 17 Fichots is still a bit closed at 8 years old. Needs 3-4 years as Fichots needs more time than any Pernand 1er Cru. — 5 days ago
