Fresh, softly fruity, not sweet. Perfect in day time, should drink cold. — 5 months ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of two days. Best on Day 2. The 2019 pours a pale garnet color with a transparent core; medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of Morello cherries, red roses, tangerine, pomegranate, talcum powder, dried sage, truffle, and dried stony earth. On the palate, the wine is bone dry with high tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and savory. A lovely expression of 2019 Barbaresco. Drink now with patience and through 2049. — 6 months ago
Higher acidity and lower tannins. Bright red cherry and strawberry notes with a bit of a meaty and earthy base. Quite good! — a month ago
2014: spectacular at a decade. Could nose this all day. A special wine starting to develop those tertiary notes reminding one of Bordeaux. What a treat! — 6 months ago
Just what you want with a Rose on a nice hot day. Light, clean, crisp with balanced acidity. Highly drinkable. — 7 months ago
1990 vintage. Neck base fill. Cork fairly saturated. Durand used. Appropriate sediment. Opened but not decanted. Tasted after one hour. Light-medium body. This was fully integrated and harmonious. Can’t imagine this vintage tasting better as this was a great specimen. Finish just glided along like a sail craft on a glassy day. Can hold at this level for another 5-6 years easy. One of the best Lafite efforts I’ve ever enjoyed. 8.16.24. — 6 months ago

So elegant and delightful. This wine has a grace and finesse, and an inner tension. The fruit and acidity and tannins dance beautifully with each other. This wine has a personality and sense of place that make it one to savor. — a month ago
