Cumulus Vineyard No. 8 Syrah Blend

2014, Next of Kyn Rhone Blend. Color - a deep purple crimson. Black cherry sandalwood aroma hits the nose with some floral and spice notes lingering with hints of chocolate spearmint, and ground meat. Wow on the taste! Luscious full body — dark plumb and and deep raspberry flavors fill the pallet following with tastes of leather, orange peel, cedar tea and mocha. Long finish and a tannic punch, but a nice balance wine 3 hour decant —could continue to open up throughout the evening. Looking forward to see how the flavors may change or resolve into something new. — 3 years ago

Parish Brewing Company

Braincake Double India Pale Ale

Parish Brewing Braincake DIPA! White grapefruit color with bubble striation, forming a yellow-tinted, white froth that dissipates rapidly to spitbug spots atop a cumulus cloudscape. Big nose of fresh juices; lemon, orange, grapefruit, and tangerine with a lime zest. There is a sense of rainbow sorbet to the whole. Piths of the aforementioned play background, while lemon crystallizes tantalizingly. Kumquat and guava swim in a palatable pudding of pineapple-tangerine, sporting defensive spikes of lemon essence filled with venomous grapefruit oils, somehow rooted on tangy malts. There is an exquisite balance at play, salivation and wicking churning up impossible combinations that seem citric, minerally, and soft in a melodic interplay. This one is really milking my fangs in the best of ways. .

Touriga Nacional 2015

Only have 1 bottle and could not wait any longer to try his first vintage of this Portugal grape from his Cumulus vineyard.

2 hour decant(some fine/cloudy sediment). A remarkable dark purplish garnet color. On the nose: dark fruit, smoke, new leather, touch of menthol, cedar. Taste: velvety, layered, concentrated mouthcoating wine with blackberry, milk chocolate, spice, clove, cinnamon and a dark cherry licorice long finish. YUM! Still plenty of time to go..a supercharged Portugal red wine.

Spectacular. Pretty sure that if I had decanted it and let it breathe for a couple of hours, I’d be giving it a 10. Just incredible from start to finish. — 3 years ago

Whoa 😳 Lucky you. Still haven’t gotten to try one of these. Did have the 2016 The Third Twin Nuestra (Mourvèdre dominant) wine a few days ago...never had a wine like it. Manfred can do no wrong, it seems.

Excited to try this 2013!. A dark inky purple color while the nose takes you in with aromas of dark cherry-cassis, dark chocolate, subtle mint and touch of meat and sweet cinnamon sugar. Oh my! — creamy, luscious and a full body elegant wine. Blackberry-cherry fruit stand out with deepening tastes of chocolate espresso, bacon fat, pepper spice and cinnamon adding to its long finish. What a delight on this hot Friday night inside our cool home! Got to try it!! — 3 years ago
