For me, this is food champagne. It needs food & excels with the right food. Tonight, it was fantastic with brined turkey and well seasoned stuffing. Crazy good food pairing.

Thanksgiving part II.

Le Bois Jacou Touraine Gamay

Subtle red fruits and earthiness on the nose, tart cranberries on the palate first but quickly balanced out by deep earth notes and some cutting acidity that lingers. Delicious! Ready for Thanksgiving!! — 11 days ago

Loved it! Even in 2019. Very balanced and smooth. Great with warm goat cheese salad or autumn soup. — a month ago

Château Rousset Coteaux de l'Aubance Chenin Blanc 2011

Vintage 2011 / Chenin Blanc Par Excellence. From a lesser known AOC in Anjou/Loire next to Coteaux du Layon. This is só gorgeous. Gold colour. Smells like honey, Turkish Fruit, apricot. Beautiful lively sweetness on the tongue. Perfect aperitive for Sunday lunch. Paired with Duck liver paté. — 18 days ago

Domaine De La Chapelle Des Bois

"Grand Pré" Fleurie Gamay 2015

A nice Beaujolais from a vintage that I don’t usually love compared to 2014/2016. Definitely better with an hour or so in a decanter to let the tannins integrate a bit more. Dark purple in the glass - darker than expected. Nice cherry aromas. Still could resolve a bit more on the finish but with a slight chill is nice. — 8 days ago

Totally agree on the vintages. 14s were killer. 15s just too much heat
