Opened three days earlier. The 2023 pours a deep ruby/purple color with an opaque core; medium+ viscosity with significant staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with powerful notes of ripe brambles, lavender pastilles, bacon fat, black pepper, and fine baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. A delightful pairing with Bison ribeye. Young but showing its potential. Drink now through 2043. — 19 days ago

A second Acker buy. CVed with first 3/25/20. Lighter and medium bodied wine that’s balanced and good pairing for lots of food. Got that stimulating texture of the Southern Rhône blend. Great buy! AA5. Opened 6/6/20 very fresh texture still with the lighter not so complex red berry notes that paired very well with Amah bone soup with highly watered down Kimchee. Relatively simple but still a good pairing wine. 70 Grenache 30 Syrah. — 6 years ago
