Château Pavillon Beauregard

Château Margaux

Pavillon Blanc White Bordeaux Blend 1989

Medium lemon colour , white bright for its age . Quite reserved on the nose at first , with some lanolin , wet wool, wax , honied orange peel , touch of herbal spice . On the palate this is slightly rounder than expected , with lemon peel , hints of orange , honey and spiced apricot . Good acidity , balanced alcohol , quite textural . Medium length , slightly toasty , lightly honied lemon rind finish . Does feel like it has semillon in the blend , though it does not . Showing well still , this is at peak , though I wouldn’t leave it too much longer . A really good showing . — 20 days ago

Château Beauregard

Pomerol Red Bordeaux Blend 2015

On the nose this wine is ripe raspberries and it carries through to the palate. It is structured on soft tannins that dissipate on the palate after 45 minutes decanted. As the wine opens I get a hint of violet mixed with dark fruit. This is a beautiful wine to drink now & I suspect it will remain so another 3-5 years. — 4 months ago

Clos Beauregard

Pomerol Red Bordeaux Blend 2016

The first night it kind of got a little overwhelming to be perfectly honest. I had to call it quits and try it again a couple of days later and then I finally got the smoky and earthy and savory flavors. The structure is definitely there and it takes some time to unwind. Very tight very expressive Wine, definitely enjoyed it. — 6 months ago

Medium ruby garnet , quite thin garnet ruby rim . Quite rounded blackberry , cassis , red plum , violet, cedar and burnt embers . On the palate this is quite elegant and red fruited ,red plum , cherry , blackberry and hint of red currant . Quite rounded and generous , balanced acidity and suave , velvety tannins . Medium length , with slightly smoky red fruit finish . This is showing well now , and is the middle of its drinking window . Now and over the next 5 years or so — 20 days ago

Marie de Beauregard Vouvray Chenin Blanc 2010

Fifteen-year old Chenin showing some weight and tropicals. Furry note on finish. Has some years left, still. — 7 months ago

Santenay Beauregard 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2016

Medium ruby , wide quite light garnet ruby rim . This has quite closed at first , with ripe raspberry , spiced red cherry , strawberry, touch of spice also. On the palate this is quite fresh and vivid, raspberry , red currant , wild strawberry , touch of spice. Quite high acidity and lightly grippy tannins . Light red fruited finish , of pretty good medium length . Still pretty young , and quite well defined and detailed, vivid, even though there is a bit more oak spice noticable than the Pommard tasted yesterday. With time this is drinking well now but will last well a further 5-10 . — 2 months ago

"Le Pavillon" Ermitage Syrah 2007

Damn. This is delicious and in an amazing spot 😍

It has effusive aromas & flavors black cherry preserves, dried fig, prune, rose, graphite, coffee grounds, blackberry bramble, licorice, leather, tobacco, peat, clove, star anise, cardamom, cured meat, black peppercorn, wet earth, mushroom, potting soil, balsamic glaze..

On the palate it’s dry with high - barely so - alcohol (14% ABV). The acidity is lovely and energetic. Tannins are silky and well-integrated.

100% Syrah from Hermitage hill, biodynamic and lower intervention in the winery. Textured and deep.

Delicious !!!!
