Technically sound and classic in style, though it doesn’t quite deliver the excitement one might expect from this famed vineyard. On the nose, aromas of red and black fruits, violets, forest floor, earthy tones, subtle spice, and a touch of meaty savoriness. Mid-weight and silky on the palate, with an underlying stoniness. Elegant and admittedly enjoyable, but it honestly doesn’t fully showcase the pedigree of its origin, which aligns with my broader experience of this producer’s wines. — 3 months ago
Vintage 2009 | This is a Pomerol with a certain strictness. We tasted it blind next to a left bank wine but the tasters did not recognize this as a right bank wine. It seems to be made for the long haul, with clear tannines even after 15 years. Good integrated wood with a light vanilla impression. — 5 months ago
Really enjoying the generous, sensual, textured nature of this vintage and top producers really nailed it. — 4 months ago
Hot tub-! Meaning, Macon in the hot tub. Which also means that any wine tasted in hot tub conditions deserves better, & at least some recognition the hot tub distorts. Still, a lithe, Meyer lemon & mineral palate. Helps actually to be in, yes, the hot tub to loosen up the dimensionality. Would go back to this. — 7 months ago
Balanced wine. Bought at Enoteca for ¥7,800. — 4 months ago
We had two bottles and they were both in a really good place. Enjoyed with Beef Bourguignon at Elkstone Ranch in Steamboat Springs. Excellent 7 course farm to table dinner! — 5 months ago

Great effort in this not so great vintage.
Well-balanced, soft, supple, lovely fruit, some stemmy/green notes of course, some spices and minerals as well and sufficient stuffing and body to boot. — 10 days ago
