Wow this is delicious! I paid $40 but would pay $100. Mellow nose but I get ripe plum up front and oak in the back. Very balanced throughout. More plum, slight cherry and touch of oak on palate. Low acidity. This is quintessential Bordeaux! — 14 hours ago
Quite light spices , coffee , sous bois , herbal hints . On the palate this has good density and spicy , menthol , dark coffee stained fruit , some slightly gritty tannin . It comes across as quite ripe but with balanced acidity and quite good menthol tinged length . This was served blind from a half bottle . I was putting this in the 80s and Napa , not Bordeaux! This had to do with the texture and quite ripe , generous fruit profile . Drinking perfectly now , I wouldn’t wait any longer — a day ago
2022 vintage. Beautiful special label by Bordeaux artist Anaïs Vindel to celebrate Denis Lurton's 30 years at the head of Desmirail. The oak seems a bit more toasted than usual, but it is well-integrated. More weight compared to the excellent 2016, this will need time, but might turn out to be the best Desmirail ever. Abv. 13%. Conservative score for now. — 3 days ago
2005 vintage. Decanted and tasted after two hours. Nose at the beginning was the usual D'Issan tight as nails. Maan, this wine always needs to be left alone to come out of the shell. Some milk chocolate and cocoa powder alongside the dense, dark fruits and earth that was appointed to the front lines at the onset. Showing pretty nicely currently with that mandatory airtime. 04.25.25. — a day ago

Medium garnet , medium garnet rim . Aromatic , and slightly funky nose , with herbal, cedar , sous bois , truffle . On the palate this is slightly strict , quite high acidity , slightly gritty tannin , mix of red and dark fruits , herbal tinges , tobacco and earthy finish . Quite linear and elegant . Perhaps slightly rustic , not particularly ambitious but classic ‘gentleman’s club’ claret. Though this is showing quite a lot of tertiary character it is still drinking well , drink now and over the next 5 or so years — a day ago
