Black cherry in the nose, with some mulberry and dark plum, but also a savory, rocky note. And a hit of licorice / mint adding freshness.
On the palate this is layered, suave, with velvety tannins, nice purity of fruit and juicy, fresh acidity. Beautiful depth here, and quite some seriousness and elegance.

I was initially scared that I was opening this too soon but it is really in a great spot. Blue fruits and flowers, a bit of graphite, and layered tannins make for an excellent texture. Elegant wine with a luxurious mouthfeel. 73% Cabernet Sauvignon 27% Merlot.

Open this bottle too early. After letting it in the glass for more than a good hour it opened a whole bouquet of flavours. Absolutely gorgeous: red fruits, felt some mild roasted cocoa during drink, which turned after having it with a meal into a vanilla scent.

Really interesting wine. Truffle comes through on the palate and cocoa both on the palate and nose. A good reminder for me to drink an old world wine once in a while.
