Really tight at pop and pour—had nice potential but could tell it was “closed”. Then decanted. Started to open up after 15 minutes but was singing “delicious” at 45 minutes. Also, as with all good Italian red, was better w food. Really popped with lightly spicy tomato sauce. Definitely tart cherries, some bright red raspberries, white pepper, and some lightly cedar-y tannin. Really nice. Wish I had had the time to really let it open before starting to drink it, but it was great nonetheless. — 13 days ago
Delicious! Substantially elevated my underwhelming leg of lamb. This Syrah isn’t as gamey as you typically see — more fruit-forward almost like a Cabernet. And (as I always love pointing out) it’s exceptional value for the price. I loved it! — 6 days ago
Plenty of depth here. Rich and vibrant with a dark plum colour in the glass and black fruit on the nose. A lot of length in the palate with blackberry, a subtle smokiness and vanilla oak. Paired with a grilled pork chop at Royale in Calgary. Delicious. — 20 days ago
