Castello Di Neive

Bruno Giacosa

Santo Stefano Di Neive Barbaresco Nebbiolo 2007

I had a long note for this. I went to take another sip before finishing the note and the app lost it. The sip was more important and more valuable than the note. This is the height of Nebbiolo and Barbaresco. My patience was incredibly rewarded. This has the stuffing to go the distance but I didn’t miss a thing at 18 years. I’ll end it there. #gratefulforgreatwine — 13 days ago

Rabajà Barbaresco Nebbiolo 2019

Very nice. Garnet color, slight preserved fruit nose. Bright, soft. Tannins and acids balanced but present, definitely possible for aging. — a month ago

From mag. A gorgeous and lush expressive nose. Roses, black cherry, hints of licorice. A gorgeous wine. Detail and focus and amazing expansive flavors with a glorious long finish. Amazing — 13 days ago

Chianti Classico Sangiovese Blend 2022

A nice neat Chianti Classico that is light and yet has a robust taste that has a nice finish.

Castello di Amorosa

Il Barone Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

Classic Napa cab. Constrained fruit, mellow tannins, good structure. Beautiful cassis notes. This bottle was a gift. After looking up the prices I was pretty shocked. Totally not worth North of $150. — 22 days ago

Castello di Monsanto

Riserva Chianti Classico Sangiovese Blend 2019

Well structured classic Sangiovese exhibiting dark, ripening fruit with plenty of soft spice and underlying soft tannin. This is a luscious wine from Laura Bianchi. Drink it now or wait a couple of years for more ripe dark fruit. — 21 days ago

Castello di Verduno

Basadone Verduno Pelaverga 2022

This is a wine from the Pelaverga grape, which I learned was almost extinct decades ago. Reminiscent of Pinot noir with bold contrasts of strawberries and floral notes and an edge of acid and bitters. Level and elegant and also easy to drink. — a month ago
