Bandol Rosé 2017

Yep you saw that price tag correctly 😱!! My favorite wine stop in Iowa City decided these were not moving! So I ever so graciously took the last three off of his hands!
@David T I was slightly temp/climate control..just sitting on the shelf (thoughts?). Chance it I did and nothing off with this Tempier!
Delicious as always previous notes apply!
Lucky I am! 👍😁🤷‍♂️

Domaine Tempier

Cuvée La Tourtine Bandol Mourvedre Blend 2016

Starts out with zingy sunshine over flower bed earth. After a few hours this comes together beautifully. Lavender, hazelnuts, potting soil, smell of a spring garden... and all sorts of other good stuff you would expect if Provence were jammed in a bottle! — 4 days ago

Côtes de Provence Rosé Blend 2018

Light salmon hue. Aromas and flavors of cherry, lemon zest, orange, peach, pineapple, rose petal, and strawberry, with hints of lavender. Medium body and high acidity. Smooth yet clean mouthfeel. Aromatic and crisp, with a refreshing finish of minerals. — 11 days ago

Reserve Bandol Rosé 2018

Bandol: pink or white.

It’s a slight culture shock as a moron gringo in the South of France when wines by the glass are identified not by producer or even by grape but simply by place. Bandol didn’t mean much to me as a place, I drove through it en route to Toulon from Marseille on le D559 but that was about it. Probably it was the fact that it was a vague homonym for bandit drew me to it — which is admittedly kind of lame, but the wine seemed to deliver. Any more than the progeny of any other Mediterranean town would have? Je ne sais pas. But this, this wine right here, is a phenomenal rosé.

50% Mourvèdre, 40% Cinsault, 10% Grenache from Bandol.

Château de Selle Côtes de Provence Cru Classé Rosé 2017

My search for the perfect summer beverage began early this year. Definitely one of the better Provençal rosés I have had. Crisp and drinkable but would also hold up with a meal! — 4 days ago
