I loved the flavor and finish of this. Great smell and one of the few deeper reds I can drink without food—but also thoroughly enjoyed it with our surf and turf dinner. Would buy again for a dinner party wine. — 4 months ago

Delicious! Notice the score here v.s. the en primeur price of around 30€ at the time. And compare that to the grand vin of the same vintage that we also had on the table. Sure, the grand vin will develop and improve one or two points in the coming years, but today they were not that far apart! — a month ago
2016 vintage. Last tasted 10.09.21 (9.2), 8.23.21 (9.2), 7.26.21 (9.2), 7.11.21 (9.2) and 6.29.21 (9.2). Something to be said for consistency but forgot what that was exactly. Medium-medium heavy body. Anyway, nice value BDX and the previously reticent, hitherto hidden, legendary tannins finally emerged from a lengthy vacation so more back end structure. Front and mid-palates unchanged and still notable for their intensity. 7.24.26. — 3 months ago
Beautifully made blend of 80% Merlot, 15% Cab Franc, and 5% Malbec. Complex nose consisting of dark fruit, toasted nuts, and wet leaves. No florals.
Boisenberry and blueberry, earth, graphite, olives, leading to polished tannins on the finish. Very good now, will be perfected in 5 years.
