Had some of the green notes that reminded me of Côt in Loire, taught but still elegant, needed some air, this bottle didn’t have a ton of fruit and I wondered if others might have a bit more. — 2 months ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a couple hours. The 2020 pours a deep ruby purple with a near opaque core and a magenta rim; medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is youthful with notes of Montmorency cherry, tart plums, licorice, purple flowers, cocoa, and gravelly earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. Tasty stuff and a very nice pairing with braised short rib. Drink now through 2040. — 4 months ago

My last half bottle. See previous note in October 2023. Previous notes apply. From the palomino grape. I’m still trying to “get” Sherry. One day I’ll try a fresh young Manzanilla in Sanlucar de Barrameda with freshly caught cooked Langoustines, as recommended. Light herbal notes with almonds, mouldy apple and medium plus salinity. Light bodied. Yeasty. Bone dry. 15% ABV. — 3 months ago
