Terrific nose. High toned berry fruit. Bittersweet cocoa and earth notes. Leather. Tree bark. Mulch. Terrific and very classic. Palate is concentrated and full of intense red berry fruit. So much tiny berry fruit intensity and wonderful stony tannins. Explosive and intense with great refinement as well. Firm tannic spine and awesome freshness. Nose gets more focused darker berry fruit and violets with air. Superb wine. Will last decades. Really amazing length and sap. As this airs it gets juicy and picks up a velvety texture. Still firm acids and tannins but so much fruit. — 17 days ago
Fine n good. Took ages of air to find the fruit but then it was rich n still robust. W red apples, a little plum n maybe peach. Tannins but moderate! — 10 days ago
My wife’s birth-year. Smooth as a baby’s butt...Caramel, butterscotch, and a hint of chewy english toffee. Just the slightest bite on the long, boisterous finish. It’s all about the age and the barrels, but just the top-off for a chilly Covid election eve. — 15 days ago
Took another taste and, just as Joshua said, maybe my palate wasn’t ready. It wasn’t ready because even though it’s still tart and dry I’m really liking this one. — 16 days ago
A fine, well-structured, classy-style wine that matures in oak barrels, pleasantly blended with the fruit and the terroir. Very beautiful Cahors.
Beau vin de garde charpenté style classieux avec son élevage en fût de chêne, agréablement mêlé au fruit et terroir. Très beau Cahors. — 21 days ago
Sweet on the nose, sensually bitter on the tongue, woody tones. Very nice over all. — 3 days ago
Toujours aussi bon la cuvée 2019 ! Qualité-prix exceptionnel. Corsé sans trop, pas sucré. Bel équilibre. — 11 days ago
