Whoa, this is rock solid. Tons of time left but after a two hour decant it was sublime.

Holy wow! I don't know if there is such a thing as a "mouthgasm," but I just had it! It has a finish with which you could set the minute hand on your watch! Intense currant with wooly/velvety tannins! I think that they were trying to impress Parker... I'm sure they succeeded.

A walk down memory lane in the year of 2012 where we stayed at the beautiful Chateau Baron. Opening a classic Pauillac Bordeaux. Dark purple ruby red color. A black fruit forest floor with a cedar and funky barnyard nose. Has an initial blackberry tar taste lingering of graphite and pencil lead and long finish.; drinks young and can definitely go another 20 years. Decanted about 90 mins. Enjoying with bruschetta and toasted sliced baguette with a two year aged in a cave Gouda cheese. A worthy initial tasting of this great Bordeaux!

2 hour decant (minimal fine sediment). The much hyped 2005 vintage!.....A dazzling dark purple/ruby red. On the nose: black fruit, forest floor, cedar, and the start of some barn yard funk. Taste: blackberry, currents, graphite, tar...tannins still there, but starting to sweeten with a long brooding finish. If you like em young and have some bottles, open one and keep the others for the next 20 years (we will pop another in 4 years).
