Could it be our last wine at 25sps! — 6 months ago
Golden, beautifully matured with all the love you could squeeze out of fresh sour apricots, syrupy canned peaches, perfumed black cherries, and all the things that oxygen brings.
Apricots first, then a lifted VA note that folds into a nutty sticky caramel apple thing.
It's more perfumed and full of acid and life then you'd ever imagine despite a tired ale color. Amazing stuff. — 10 months ago

Cabernet Sauvignon 40%, Syrah 40%, Cindault 15% l, and Cardigan 5%. High altitude vineyards ( 1050 m). Aged 24 months in concrete. Cherries, berries and spices. The tannins have a little rough edge, but the wine has character and would be a great match for many Lebanese dishes. Abv. 13%. — 4 months ago
Notes of Raspberry, stone fruit, and some light spice notes, very refreshing. Not a big Rose fan especially in the winter but went great with the apps a Zahav in Philly.

Anytime I see this on a menu, I order it. — a year ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2021 Levantine de Musar pours a deep, nearly impenetrable ruby with a bright ruby rim. Medium viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is so fresh! Black cherries, brambles, licorice, purple flowers, tobacco and stony earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannins and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes on the nose, this continues the theme of freshness and I love it. The finish is long, tart and satisfyingly bright. This is a distinctive expression of the Bekaa and Musar that, while built well enough to age, is clearly made to enjoy while the fruit is fresh. — 3 years ago
Medium ruby in color, some sediment a little cloudy; on the nose, clean, with tertiary aromas of baking spices, and light intensity primary aromas of strawberries and raspberries; on the palate, it's dry with medium acidity, medium body, high alcohol, and pronounced intensity primary and secondary flavors of red currants, tart cherries, and a hint of asphalt and clay pots with a long finish. This wine is complex and intense. Overall, I rate this wine as very good. — 3 months ago

In Margarita Island, Venezuela, while celebrating the “Extraction”. Nice surprise. Never tasted a Lebanese wine. Fruity aromas and acidity in harmony. Good for Arabian meats. I would repeat — 9 months ago

I do love Musar. The bottle variations can throw you for a loop, but this one came out with a beautiful nose and a great palate. I sampled it by CoraVin the morning before taking it to Eulalie in Tribeca for dinner with old mates visiting from London who love Musar as much or more than I do. It had beautiful color and was translucent. I must have jostled it too much on the subway downtown because when we opened it, it was cloudy and had some fine sedement. Did not decant but allowed it to evolve over a couple of hours. I have a couple more bottles and will look forward to trying them. Enjoyed with lamb dishes and quail stuffed with foie gras and other offal. Delicious! — 10 days ago
