Estate Bottled Chalk Hill Chardonnay 2018

Very very creamy and robust. You have to like big chardonnay to enjoy this! (Luckily for me I like all forms of Chardonnay.) I don’t find the oak overwhelming here though. It’s more MLF bold than oak bold, if that’s makes sense? 🤷‍♀️ Oak is definitely present — I just don’t find it over the top. Pineapple, cream, vanilla, lemon curd. — 14 days ago

Pleasant Hill Vineyard Pinot Noir 2004

2004 Burgs vs CA Pinots. Some in the group felt it was like Kosta Brown but I’m not so sure. Much preferred the Siduri of the two CA Pinots in the lineup — 2 days ago

Tasty chardonnay…almost between chablis and Rombauer. More oak than chablis but more acid/pucker than Rombauer. — 18 days ago

Canary Hill Vineyard Pinot Noir 2017

Color of purple with ruby hue. Quite clear and nice legs. Nose of dark fruits, dried strawberry, aldehyde, oily and crayon, a bit smoky, and fragrance is refined. Taste follows the nose with addition of grapefruit sweetness, strawberry vanilla, zest, mineral, minty, simply quite tasty. Second sip shows some more zest and peppery. Good flavors. Aftertaste shows some more ripe grape and a bit too much bitterness. But still a good one. — 5 days ago

Sonoma Coast Chardonnay 2018

A real solid $20 Chard, Barrel aged 10 months sur lie! Medium lemon color with aromas of stone and citrus fruits with notes of warm baking spice. On the palate ripe apple and lemon flavors with vanilla and nutty toasty oak. Well balanced on medium+ finish ending, a bit buttery with slight oak and mineral notes. A favorite!! — 15 days ago

Hill of Grace Vineyard Shiraz 2010

Spectacular effort. The wine meets you from the glass, confit cooked fruit with exotic spice, first impression is jam and not wine. Medium bodied with long burn. Is this the best Australian wine ? — 16 days ago

Actually the wine is very meaty I.e. a full expression of umami

Vine Hill Ranch Petit Verdot 2013

This is a delicious Petit Verdot from Napa Valley.

Tasty right out of the bottle and better after 2 hours in the decanter.

Showing black fruits with cedar, vanilla, leather, chocolates, tobacco leaf, spices, tar, peppercorn, dark coffee, earth and licorice.

Full bodied with medium acidity.

Dry and fruity on the palate.

Loved the nose here.

14.7% alcohol by volume.
