Nicely balanced, lovely red fruits. Has with a slight tartness when first opened (not a bad thing, for me) and gets smoother when its had time to breathe (still just as lovely in a different way). Interesting and delicious! — 15 hours ago
Amazing taste! — 3 days ago
It's time for my #FridayCabernetfix. Here is a tasty one from California.
Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim. A very pretty color.
Fruity nose with blueberries, plums, currants, light cedar, vanilla, light earth, licorice, black pepper, spices and chocolates.
Medium plus in body and smooth, with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with blackberries, black cherries, sweet strawberries, oak, vanilla, licorice, spices, tobacco, coffee, dark chocolates, light earth and peppercorn.
Medium plus in finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a very enjoyable Cabernet Sauvignon based Bordeaux blend. Drinking very nicely now, and will continue in the next 5 years.
This 6 year old is showing nice complexity and balance, with a very enjoyable mouthfeel.
Good right out of the bottle, but gets more complex as it opens up. I let it decant for 2 hours.
A good quality wine. Delicious, interesting and engaging.
Good by itself or with food. I paired it with meats, cheeses and light appetizers. Was really nice with the Italian salami.
A blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon 30% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. Grapes are grown in Napa County and Sonoma County.
14.5% alcohol by volume.

I really enjoy the QPR of many different varietals and blends that Spier produces. This #shiraz #pinotage blend pours dark purple. After it opens up a bit, earthy, smoky, laid-back bramble fruit and slight petrol and rubber notes from the Pinotage. Striking acidity, blue/black fruit, some bitter chocolate and coffee with well-behaved tannins all swirled together; clearly a fantastic BBQ wine.

Active, perfect yellow amber pushing orange hard. Big bubbled beige-yellow head that dropped expectedly quick, with so much action. Petri-dish lacing with cytoplasm graffiti. Huge pineapple nose of fresh-cut ripe fruit! Grapefruit tattoo, but little else. General lemon creaminess; a memo from mandarin. Pineapple rum entry with caramel and vanilla, baked apple, brandy-pear, classy touch of black pepper, allspice, ginseng, soft ginger slices, dried orange peel, anise, and lime. Heady and thick, cut, wiry, and sinewy, but overall, a calculated, choreographed, disciplined display of restrained power, lithe and evocative, with a smooth finish.

Like a lot. Very mild. Needs to breathe. Steve likes too! Avail at MoCo — 6 days ago
LOVE this wine. Would recommend using an aerator for this wine as it needs to breathe for the best flavor.

Interesting and seamless blend. Syrah, pinotage, Cabernet, petit Verdot. Red spicy fruit meet s’mores. Earth, smoke. Great wine that is both very interesting, but comforting. Needs a better label. Seems like a generic brand-only effort, only the wax stop gives the impression of exclusive. — 10 days ago
Oh yeah. This wine is a Daddy wine. Insanely aromatic. Cake icing, green apple, huge minerals, alluring spice, iodine, hazelnut, so refined and complex. Wow, what a palate. The purest and most balanced Equinces ever. Just a stunning wine. Tastes like elite 1er Cru. Just insane. Awesome acids and freshness and also has fantastic roundness which is a sign of an elite white wine. See Keller and Brisset. As nose opens up it becomes perfumed and spicey like a spice bazaar. Palate is so deep. My goodness it is crazy. It is so clean, so fresh and so ethereal. It floats on the palate and pumps juicy, refined apple fruit on the mid and the finish. Wow. So deep. Totally genius and so so refined. Sickness. What structure and grip. Just genius. Best Equinces ever. — 4 days ago
