Topping the night off with the pinnacle. A Grange from 1999, made during an era that it was still produced in a regular bottle and a reasonable price. It was a mature version of the Saint Henry we had earlier that evening. Extreme dense in flavor, powerful and strong oak vanilla notes. Dark fruit soaked in cigar box and oh so smooth. 21 years old. Don’t take too much time drinking it and don’t decant it. It peaks in about 30-60 minutes. — 18 days ago
Sumptuous! Sourced from different vineyards and aged just right in American oak, this polished gem is all Cab on the nose. The Shiraz comes out midway through: dark fruit and Earl Grey tea. A vanilla-chocolate swirl envelopes the finish. A smooth criminal, this one... — 15 days ago

Needs an hour decant. Good not great before that.
Nose : cranberry. Cranberry flower. Good density. As this opens some earth. Almost savory. Very expansive. Penetrating perfume.
Palate: cranberries very elegant. Great texture. As it opens more savory. Long. Great.
This is a hard wine to define. Very distinctive. But very good.

77% Shiraz, 23% cab. Very nice blend. Staying at Solaz and dining at Al Pairo. Bought this wine at a new market in the corridor for less than $20. The wine worked with all of our dishes. Will probably go back to get some more of this as we still have 19 nights to go. — 14 days ago
Second wine for the night was this Shiraz from Penfolds that was so dense, so rich and edgy. A perfect progression from the over achieving Pinot from Sicilia. It had multiple layers of intense dark fruits, leather and hints of pipe tobacco. Subtle soft tannins that lingered on the finish for minutes. — 18 days ago
Eucalyptus and mint for sure. Gina of blackberry and black currant. Australian in its brashness for sure — 4 days ago
Couldn’t keep up my note taking with the multiple bottles of excellent wine being presented. I didn’t realise that RWT went back as far as 1997. Very much a Barossa Valley red from Penfolds. Top Quality ripe fruit and Oak - in this case French oak. Good but not great. I have had better examples of RWT. — a month ago
