🍇 💣 as you might have expected for which I was in the mood. gonna keep tagging @Delectable Wine on the fuzzy pic bug, thanks for your help! — 6 years ago
Aromas of ripe dark fruits, cooking spice and smoky notes. On the palate of this bug wine, flavors of blackberry and plum, raisin like tones with cacao, oak and cinnamon spice. Rich tannins, soft, lingering well balanced ending with smoky spice. Very Nice. Tasting Sample. — 7 years ago
This has real presence. Lemon oil, honeysuckle, a whiff of honey on the nose. A bigger midpalate than the 08. With time in the glass limestone and rock pools come through- a great tension between minerality and fruit. This is fleshy, pure and exotic next to the 08 bug is all in great balance. Drinking well now. Gorgeous. — 7 years ago

Bug wine and first Tempranillo outside of Spain I’ve had- really good stuff! — 6 months ago
This is only my second ever German Riesling, the first also (I think) being a Kabinett that I tried, as a relative newbie to wine as a whole, some seven or eight years ago - and hated. But something about Germany’s bottomless pit of wine styles, and the fierce delineation of its vineyards, appeals to me, and as someone who drinks far more old- than new world wine, it was about time I popped a cork and dived in.
In short, this was an immensely enjoyable wine - particularly on the second night. Rough notes from the night as follows: apricot, apple tart, a slight petrol note, petrichor, and a saline edge, with passion fruit lining the finish. The smell reminds me of boat trips in Greece - diesel engines combined with fresh sea salt, I guess. Immediate tangy impression on the front of the tongue that lasts through the finish. Very ripe and linear. Medium acidity in this off-dry style.
I’ve now massively got the bug. Anyone got some Spätlese they could lend? — 6 years ago
Very bubbly, I get flavors of cherry and peach, dry bug had high acidity — 7 years ago
First time tasting a GC Leroy and it was really out there. Pungent, overt, aromatic, intoxicating comes to mind. Blinded and had no idea. KP guessed it to be an 11' DRC. Said that 04' and 11' was all about the lady bug. He didn't think it was a Leroy because he felt it was too modern. — 9 years ago

Fantastic for the money, I could have this everyday! Savored a 2019 bottle, I suppose the year makes a significant difference as well. Bug thumbs up! — 3 years ago
Georgian food night - for me cuisine calls for oxidative wines given the local style & winemaking and LdH Todonia blanco fit the bill perfectly. Awkward on pop n pour, came around by the evening. Brilliant copper gold, beeswax-oxidative-walnut accord. Roasted pear. Buttressing lemony acidity. Medium finish. 😍 @Delectablewine Delectablewine this is the blanco - bug won’t let me change the identified wine. — 5 years ago

Gorgeous stuff - so very well crafted. Huge fruit complicated by spice, soy sauce and roasted meat. Dinner is served! [Also @Delectable you are doing that thing where none of my photos are in focus - bug alert] — 6 years ago

Honeydew on the nose. A slight waxiness to it. Probably not chilled enough. Cool little winery in northern Michigan. — 9 days ago
