Nose is caramel, slate, peaches, nectarine, tangerine, and so much more. Subtle and wide open. Awesome viscous texture and lovey intensity. Juicy and focused with great precision and very well knit. Very complex with just a terrific mouthfeel. Long finish. Drinking so well now. — 2 days ago
Look at my previous note. Add age. That’s why this is a 9.9. Just the best 19 Auslese I’ve ever had. Masterful. Nervy tropical fruit. Elegant like nothing else. Loooooooong. Why is this not more well known? I did a poor job I guess. Also there is like none. — 14 days ago
Nose is lightly tropical. Quite mineral.
Palate is mineral. Light tropical fruits. Elegant. — 17 days ago
Silver skinned friendly little guy - refreshing and won't offend a soul.
Shows a shimmering glow, faint spritz of lemon, pear, and lilac. Citrus oil and pears in a mouth of mildly viscous texture and good acid.
Slight preference for this year's Weissburgunder... — 4 days ago
@Delectable Wine this is the one star. * thanks!
There’s something about middle Mosel Pinot I find thrilling. Nose has herbs, light red cherries and sour cherries and commandingly soars from the glass. Hint is spicey wood that is so appealing and if course this is on top of huge amounts of aromatic slate. This has unreal levels of just gorgeous minerality. Palate has oceans of sweet fruit and lovely soft impression with an intriguing mineral and salty finish. Sour and mid season cherries galore. Beautiful velvety tannins that are wonderfully sweet but also a bit big and drying but I think air will resolve that. Very juicy and pure with a hint of slightly green/sour element on the finish that keeps this from 9.3. Let’s see what air does. Air has made this decline slightly to a 9.1. — 19 days ago
Vintage 2016 | half bottle | Rödelseer Küchenmeister Auslese | Top tier Riesling from Franken. Smell if you walk into a spices shop… biscuit spices, clove, cinnamon, creamy smell and butter chatter taste with enough acids to preserve its vitality. Still young. — a month ago
