Such an underrated vintage both red and white. Raveneau‘s 2013 Valmur is electric from the first pour wafting killer yellow fruit intensity, white chocolate, white flowers, notions of sea breeze and a little botrytis influenced saffron. The palate is deep, waxy and rich with balanced zippy citrusy acids and a crushed oyster shell minerality that gives way to a considerably long, focused and lifted finish. Fantastic bottle. — 16 days ago
Textbook Northern Rhone Syrah in a very affordable, drink now package. Bing cherry, currants, light and pleasantly integrated peppercorn and smoke notes, a touch of beef bouillon and soil. Medium bodied, pure textures of finely grained tannin and perfectly integrated acidity. Med+ on the finish. If you have been drinking new world syrah and are hesitant to buy in on a Cote-Rotie, Hermitage or even a Saint-Joseph, this is a nice entry point. — 11 days ago
Tasted blind. Light gold color, youthful and heavy in the glass. Notes of citrus, white clay, sea shells, wet river stone, kiwi and some honey. High pitched. Massive fruit and structure. This powered along all night and never slowed down. Easy to guess as the 90 Raveneau Clos as we've had this many times. A debate ensued about what is a perfect white burgundy and where this sits... it would be really hard to get better than this, IMO. Spectacular. — 16 days ago

Deep golden pink in color, with a zillion tiny bubbles. Fresh melon and buttery nut on the nose. Crisp and dry and completely perfect. — 2 days ago
