Butteaux Chablis 1er Cru Chardonnay

Soft and good secondary notes. Quite subtle. Delicate lemon and oyster shells. Calm and pretty. Slightly disappointed but changing a lot with air in the glass

Resolved and supple. Oily with pear Ave floral notes. Lovely balance. Salinity

Light gold in color. Corn and lemon oil with a marine note. Less complex than the Valmur but delicious, defined and has great balance.

Beautiful and balanced with acid and fruit.

Drank side by side with 2008. 08 with the edge for greater intensity, depth and weight. 4 hour decant for each, and that is always key with Raveneau or you’ll never experience the true magic of Chez Raveneau.

Lovely and composed. Limpid lime, oyster shells, flint. Rounded and supple. Very focused and in place. Delicious.
