Medium Ruby with aromas of dark berry fruits, floral and spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry and raspberry with black pepper, fresh cut herbs and flinty notes. Medium+ finish, rustic dusty tannins, ending with fruit, floral, spice and mineral character. — 4 days ago
Big sherry, tons of spice, red fruit, a hint of peat smoke - incredibly complex and poised. — 10 days ago
2018. Pale straw color. Light citrus aroma. Very crisp, tart and mineral with flavors of citrus and apple/pear. Moderately long finish. Hugely drinkable as a summer wine (or anytime)! — 12 days ago
Very tight, tanning are still too textured, but minerality shows through, very dark fruit, quite a bit of cherry — 3 days ago
Been 2 years+ since I’ve had this. Nose is gorgeous now. Nose is honeyed almonds and steel wool. Nuttiness as well. Sense of richness but also super umami notes. Chenin is a major umami grape. Confectionary honeycomb on the nose. So gorgeous and such clarity. Really a knockout nose. Palate is clear, vivid and has terrific, knock you on your ass acids. Tangy and also really leaves an imprint on the palate. Fantastic purity and presence. Really really long. Brown sugar on the nose now. A sick sick wine. Maybe best chenin I’ve had from Michel Chèvre. — 4 days ago
On this Sunday night I have opened the 2013 Michel Gassier Nostre Païs Rhone White Blend. A blend of 60% Grenache Blanc, 20% Clairette, 15% Roussanne and 5% Viognier. From Costières-de-Nïmes, France.
On the nose there is lemon curd, yellow apple, citrus, honey, beeswax, licorice and minerals.
On the palate there is lemon, white peach, pear, honeydew melon, fennel, limestone and wet gravel.
This wine is medium bodied with a creamy mouthfeel, medium+acidity and a long citrus mineral finish. I hope everyone is doing well? Let's make the week ahead a beautiful one. Please stay safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🥂🥂🥂🥂 — a month ago
