Robinot. Madman de Loire. He doesn’t rush anything. He makes wines you haven’t tried before.
L’Opera Des Vins is a mixed bag of Pineau d’Anuis and Chenin in Pet Nat form.
Pours a beautiful bright orange creamsicle. Tiny bubbles, lots of them. Deep yeast driven fruity notes of blood oranges, persimmon, Ceylon cinnamon, and coriander.
It’s hard to tell if this is truly off dry or truly fruity. Or both.
As special and interesting as any Pet Nat I’ve ever tried. — 6 days ago
The thing about Monsieur Chave’s wines is the paradox of density, concentration, and same time finesse and elegance. This is a great example. Dark berries, flowers and a fresh tone that makes you want more each sip. Soo good now, but will get better over time. Please decant if you drink before 2025. Enthusiastically recommended. — 8 days ago
Nose is lovely. Dusty red cherries, licorice and cherry flower as well. Lovely earth and wet stones. Cooling black cherries as well with some air. Juicy and concentrated with awesome purity and freshness. So balanced with lovely elegance. Long finish and great sap. Some bramble as well on the nose after some air. Terrific intensity. Really showing well. — 3 days ago
Oh it was lights out. Perfect condition. 98 Blanc is a special bottle. Showed exactly how you want a mature white Rhône to be. Layered complexity and terrific depth and richness showing marzipan, dried flowers, acacia honey and fall spices. Longggg finish. — 4 days ago

2015 vintage. Not easy to find the right information on this lovely estate, on their website there is no mention of a white wine at all. On the internet you will find a white and red "Sainte-Radegonde". I have no idea if this "Les Pins Francs" is another wine or the same under another label, but confusion aside it is absolutely delicious. Sauvignon shines through in the nose with grassy flavours mixed with lime, flowers and a more exotic fruit component I associate with Sémillon. In the mouth concentrated peach fruit and lemon confit, perfectly balanced by the acidity and a long fresh minty finish. Terrific value too at about 17 euro. Kudos to owner Pascal Collotte! — 3 days ago
Took an hour to open after pop and pour. On the nose: candied cherry, soft game to maybe some funk, spice and perfume, a suggestion lf herbs...the scents just dance around. On the palate: fantastic acidity, wild strawberry, candied cherry, soft at first, but density builds to a dense cherry, slowly transforming to pixelated tannins. Ethereal...even on Day 2 open. — 5 days ago
Deep dress in the colors of black cherries. Open nose; complex, pleasant, dominated by fresh fruits, crushed strawberries with liquorice, and a touch of star anise.
The attack on the palate is voluminous, soft, on an explosion of black fruits, and notes of coffee / caramel, tapenade. A first class Cote-du-Rhone dominated by Grenache.
— 13 days ago
