Very nice & good QPR blend. Merlot 70%. Ripe fruit, blackberry, tea, licorice. 1 hour decant. Organic+. — 2 months ago
Though it’s very difficult for me to find a reasonably-priced Bordeaux I actually like, this is one. Bright nose shows dark cherry, cedar shavings, gravel, and a deep woodsy scent. Good cherry-centric fruit, loads of acidity, and a very bright mouthfeel. The acids feel almost like the bright, accentuated acids I associate with Paso Robles limestone soil. Not particularly long or complex in the mouth, but resonates more on the *fun* scale. — 5 years ago

Blackcurrant, clay, liquorice, cigar, leather, tobacco. Medium bodied, acidic, well integrated tannins. Elegant, understated wine with brilliant structure. 22 years…. What a wait 🔴⚪️ — a month ago
Second wine of classed growth Grand-Puy Ducasse. Blend 50/50 Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, has Merlot that did not make the cut for the top wine. Deep Ruby red color, with aromas of ripe dark fruits, spice and herbs. On the palate flavors of blackberry, plum and cinnamon spice. Fine tannins, long finish ending with fruit, smoky spice and earthy mineral character. Good now! — 4 months ago
Really nice light Pinot Noir, mated well with the tuna and Mac and cheese entrees. — 2 years ago
Good berry flavors. Less earthiness. Dark color. Fairly long finish. — 5 years ago
Vintage 2015 / Imagine you find a vineyard with almost 50 years old Chenin Blanc and you are able to make wine from it. Frederic Mabileau must have been thrilled. This vineyard in Saumur is 1 hectare. Minerals in smell, a lot of minerals. Also vanilla (16 months en foudre). Hints of tropical fruit, hay, enormous powerful in taste with good acidity. What a joy to taste this! — 6 years ago
vintage 2022 | Finally! Le Puy has been on my bucketlist for years. Icon of nature wines. Winemaking with little or non interventions. Right bank Bordeaux. It is a wonderful wine, 22 is drinking fine now. Cassis, leather, clove and laurel. Warmth. Fine structure. It made my dinner with steak frites. At restaurant Amsterdam in Amsterdam. — 2 months ago

Really great value St Emillion, opened up after about an hour and a half and drank super well. Balanced and rich while still acidic enough to keep it from being flabby. Real nice! — a year ago
Smells like fresh oil & jet 🛩 fuel, oh wait thats the Airshow & Oil spill here in Huntington Beach🙄 again.
K&L notes
This is a fresh, snappy berry-driven rosé with delicate floral notes. It's bright and crisp, delicious with or without food. Domaine les Pins has been family run for five generations. They are a small artisanal producer that oversees every stage of the production from start to finish. They have roughly 30 hectares of Cabernet Franc spread out through the Bourgueil and St-Nicolas de Bourgueil regions. They practice sustainable farming, and each and every vine gets singular attention throughout the year. Vines of an average age of 25 years are planted in sandy, clay and gravel soils. Cabernet Franc makes for an excellent rosé. Not only does it bring an array of new flavors into the pink world, but the wine has depth and weight that a Grenache or Pinot based rosé could never achieve. This lovely little wine has aromas of fresh raspberry and white pepper with a subtle presence of culinary herbs in the background. On the palate it has great weight and a stronger red fruit presence than you might expect. The note of white pepper persists and carries through to the crisp and clean finish. — 5 years ago

20 years Bordeaux. Even in Pauillac, quite gentle. Black currant, berry and cherry. Fruity. Silky tannin. Beautiful aged. Grand Puy Ducasse 01 @, ,260612 — 13 days ago
