Incredible value... not quite a 93, but worth picking up a case — 14 days ago
This has been on my bucket list for a while, and we just got a few bottles in my area. I went in to this with high expectations and it totally delivered. One of the most complex wines I’ve had - there is just so much going on here. The nose on this just doesn’t stop evolving. Beautiful oxidation and so many distinct aromas that I’m not going to rattle them off. Texture, flavor, this has everything to offer for my palate. Need to hunt down an older bottle next time. For me, this lived up to the hype. — 22 days ago
Just love this wine, just gets better and better. Deep Ruby with an elegant bouquet of berry fruits, light spice with earthy tones, a traditional Rioja. On the palate, the wine was silky smooth with layers of flavors, berry and cherry, tobacco, smoky cedar, dark fruit, vanilla spice, very well balanced with fine tannins and a clean structure ending with a nice long finish with earthy and leathery notes. Delicious! Still has room to age. — 2 days ago
Really nice wine. Cherries, vanilla spice on the nose - concentrated, and lingering with a some fine tannins on the finish. Took 30-45 minutes to open up in decanter — 8 days ago
@Severn Goodwin doesn’t know I lifted this from his cellar. Far too pricey for a Rose.
As different as the most considered typical Rose.
Splendid but, if you are expecting Bandol or new world, this is probably not for you.
I entitled this bottle shot, Roses for Rasado.
Notes of sherry, vermouth, rhubarb, concentrated British tea sack. Geraniums & pink Roses. Gravel powder, dry top soil, burnt, brown sugar, blood orange, underripe pink grapefruit, dry floral bouquet. Excellent, well balanced finished.
Crazy good change of pace.
Top photos from my 2015 visit. Great historical stop in Haro. — 15 days ago
