Not sure why I had low expectations for this but it performed super well. — 8 months ago
55 hectares of superb gravelly vineyards, often referred to as the "archetypical Graves." A blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc & 1% Petit Verdot, Organic, very very dark Ruby red with aromas of black fruits with an array of herb, floral & spice notes. On the palate flavors of berries, black cherry, licorice and cacao with pepper, great mouthfeel. Firm full fine tannins, long finish, ending with fruit, spice and floral earthy character. Extremely Nice! — a year ago
The 2015 Les Carmes Haut-Brion is the first vintage vinified with 100% infusion, including 55% whole bunches. This has a much more intense bouquet compared to the 2014: copious blackberries, blueberry and crushed violet scents, hints of blood orange and a light cassis touch with time. The palate is medium-bodied with fine density and precision, good grip, edgy tannins with clearly more mineralité percolating through the finish. Excellent. Tasted at the Les Carmes Haut-Brion vertical at the château. (Neal Martin, Vinous, October 2022)

A last minute substitution for a likely flawed bottle of Fèlsina Rancia...Just one of many chances we take when buying wines on the secondary market. 🤷🏻♂️ — 2 months ago
2010 1st label. Dark ruby. 55 merlot, 40 Cabernet Sauvignon and 5 petit Verdot. On the nose, leather, truffle, forest floor, plum. On the palate, cherry, caramel, oak, vanilla. Complex with good depth of flavor. Medium- Long finish. 9.6. Can buy at total wine. — 2 years ago
Mid to dark Ruby in colour. Black and Red fruits - aromatics of blackberry, note of raspberry, earthy and sandy notes. A medium to full bodied palate - rich and enduring. Costers de Vinyes Vielles comes from the company’s oldest vines. A blend of 110 year old Carinena (55%) and 90 year old Garnacha (45%). Aged for 16 months in French oak. One of the 1001 Wines. 14.5% ABV. Love Priorat wines after our visit in 2022. — 8 months ago

100% Sangiovese. Medium ruby color. Intense aromas of black cherry/currant, graphite and violets. Same fruits on the palate with notes of forest floor, bittersweet chocolate and dried bay leaves. Nice mineral/herbal note on the finish. Dense structure and vibrant acidity. Powerful and complex, but very well balanced. Very “Bordeaux-like.” Tailor-made for the American palate. Thanks for the bottle, Kase! — 8 days ago
