Supple, sensuous and curvy. Everyone needs there Isley Reserve. Why cellar it? #stagsleap — 8 years ago
Typical Napa Cab characteristics from this 2011 Stags' Leap. Black berry, blueberry and a little red cherry with layers of earth, light tobacco and spice. Firm and tight tannins give evidence of time in new oak barrels. Full bodied and round on the finish, this wine will benefit from another 3-4 years in the bottle.

At this price point try the Robert craig Affinty 2012, even the 2012 BV tapestry was fairly good for the price,

This is a serious rosé made from Cab Franc at Chimney Rock. Rich dark red fruit, tannins, and a nice medium plus finish. This is a man's rosé for a BBQ meal and a game of cards. #chimneyrock #stagsleap #napavalley #rosé #wine #roséalldamnday — 11 years ago
Deep ruby/purple. Chocolate, spice, tobacco, dried fruit, plum, and minerality on the nose. Smooth finish with silky tannins. Fantastic and a true reflection of #stagsleap, #napa, #baldacciwinery — 12 years ago
Beautiful garnet color, very drinkable with smooth with deep notes of blackberry and stone fruit. Enjoyed this beauty with another beauty @Nicolette Hill at @tavern62 #davidburke #redwine #californiawine #stagsleap district #shafer #shafervineyards — 9 years ago

Dark berry, vanilla, dry finish. Really enjoyed this wine. I would buy this one again. Pair with some spicy bbq. #merlot #stagsleap #wineclub — 11 years ago
2012 - very complex, sexy, refined tannins and long. Almost feminine but still powerful. (Like a young Margaux) best Cask 23 I've ever had. #stagsleap #napa #napacab #wine — 11 years ago
Tight!!! Really wound up and still young in all respects! Black shadows of broiled currants, blackberry pie, licorice, pure cocoa, rosemary, tree bark, graphite and charred spice box...
Didn't have time to watch this one develop into its full fruit plate, but amazing entrance, and stunning presence. #stagsleap #napa #napavalley #stagsleapwinecellars #cask23 — 11 years ago
Earth, plum, dark cherry, licorice and chocolate. Full bodied and gorgeous. Needs a little time for the tannins to mellow but will age beautifully. @cliffledevineyards. #napa, #stagsleap — 12 years ago
Astonishingly good, especially at 4 hours decant. This is everything I could have ever hoped for as many other Napa 1997 wines seem to have held up poorly. Crimson red the color is more youthful than I would have expected. The nose at first was odd, almost synthetic like. That blew off after an hour and continually added layers of nuance. The palate showed red currants, blackberries, creme d'cassis and black cherry with pencil shavings and cedar notes. The palate was balanced with a heady and super long finish sporting 1+ minute. By far the best Cask 23 I have ever had. #slwc #cask23 #stagsleap #1997 #Winiarski — 12 years ago
