Road wine so ease off me please and I usually enjoy stag leap but last night so so

First off o smiled but because I drank entire bottle

Color was fine smell was aromatic but from there the other things were off

Taste was not what I expected as was too much heat and alcohol and finish was weak

Sadly I have a few and will be handing off as gifts to people I really don't know when needed - sorry to al future gift receivers

12' Stag's Leap Artemis. Lacking some complexity. Pop & pour. Crowdpleaser.

Put this on the shelf for a few years. Great dark berry and cherry but enough tannin to ripe your face off! Splash decant if drinking young!

Likely the best Artemis Stag's Leap has ever made. Ripe blackberries, boysenberries, black plum, cinnamon, dark chocolate, vanilla toasted oak and caramel finish. It's not as fresh as we've had at the winery. Starting to close down in the bottle. This entry level Stag's Leap is better at this young stage than most of their 2011's. At $40, an extreme value. Can't wait to try it again in 8-10 years!

Its a smooth earthy wine. I like it and it gets fruitier the more you drink it but holds off the jammy.

Nose is deceivingly modern. Palate is very sound structurally. All the pieces are there for a very solid Napa cab.

Introverted cousin of Cask 23...robust and smooth but not very memorable when compared side-by-side at a family reunion

Perfumed. Notes of ripe blackberry, menthol, anise and oregano. Ripe fruit and toffee on the palate. Long finish. Restrained oak use. Lovely.
