Robert Craig Winery
Affinity Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Needed a little time to open up, but once it did, this wine had some wonderful layers. This opened with plum, blueberry, purple flowers and rich soil before changing over to more notes of leather, and subtle pepper and nutmeg. The tannins were still pretty firm but balanced. It was a good match for a filet with blue cheese/black pepper/parsley. It was interesting to keep finding the changes in the wine over a couple hours.

Apr 9th, 2018Opaque dark ruby color with appealing cassis, black cherry, and roast espresso beans with hints of floral and mineral aromas. On the palate, it's elegant with a silky smooth texture and black cherry, cassis, vanilla and spice flavors with a long mineral accented finish. Blend of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Petit Verdot, 4% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc and 2% Malbec. 14.5% alcohol

Nov 4th, 20142010 Robert Craig Affinity. Quite tasty. Rich fruit and some chocolate. Well integrated, soft tannins.
