Massive power!! 30 minutes open in the bottle. Lovely nose. Good cherry fruit and cinnamon on the nose. The wine got bigger and bigger with air. Mix between Bordeaux and Napa. Great terroir with some spice and smoke. Nose and flavor of Bordeaux, with the huge power of Napa. Definitely has some years left in it. I enjoyed it with great jalapeño, onion, and cheese burgers from the local butcher. — 4 years ago
Although I am not really a tawny kind of guy, it is hard to deny the greatness of this wine. A lovely red amber color with a nose of toasted nuts, caramel and golden raisins. The attack is a bright sweet symphony of toasted nuts and golden raisin. This attack gives way to salted caramel and a long soft tannic finish. My only complaint is there is some serious heat on the finish that makes it slightly unpleasant. — 8 years ago
