One of those cases where I can't make a mere sip and fight for the right to finish the bottle. Yet it's sad, cause it's not available anymore in my local store. The first thing to notice is the pale colour of the wine. Apparently, caused by gentle extraction. A beautiful bouquet of fried sunflower seeds, raspberry, strawberry, dark chocolate, spices and gouache. Delicate on the palate, juicy and almost perfectly balanced with good acidity and velvety tannins. It is also flavourful and has a long-lasting aftertaste. To summarize, it is approachable and delicious Pinot Noir, stylistically closer to Bourgogne with a ripe twist. — 4 years ago
N: Very confectionery, lots of lime, as kaffir, almost peppermint stick, yellow and white flowers.Crushed white rock.
P: Big spritz on the front of the mouth,
Green apple, lime, very delicate on the palate, juicy but never cloying. Very refreshing. Very mineral. Waiting on it to open more.

There are a few wines in the world that you can really never go wrong with. And by that I mean there are a few wine producers in the world whose every product is simply fantastic. For me, one of those is Müller-Catoir from Germany’s Pfalz region. Founded in 1744 this regal family estate makes fantastic wines across a wide range of prices from their roughly 60 acres of estate vineyards. This is a perfect examples, with its electric acidity and minerality encased in Asian pear, mandarin orange oil, and honeysuckle brightness. With just a whisper of sweetness it goes down so easy you blink and half the bottle is gone. Ding! — 5 years ago
My annual bottle of the freak fest. Fermentive nose of lemon slushy, huge minerals and seltzer. Tweed as well. As I said a freak fest. Palate is bitter like an ESB but pure and clean. Lemons, underripe oranges and barely apricot. Love it. Huge minerals and insane freshness. Such a unique wine. — 6 years ago
Refreshing .. I miss drinking Riesling — 6 years ago
Papaya, peach, rose, wet stones
26 days of skin contact - light golden color, almost like an oaky white
I love the slight funk without being too wild — 2 years ago
Bright tart cherry and berry upfront and that highly desirable Pinot earthiness that pairs so well with salmon, pork, cheeses, and charcuterie. I am surprised some folks have rated it so low in comparison to how good it tastes! I would definitely buy this again! — 3 years ago
Delicious new varietal that I never would have tried without recommendation. Tart and zingy — 5 years ago

Tonight I have opened the 2016 Viña Errázuriz Max Reserva Carmenère. Made up of 85% Carmenère, 11% Syrah and 4% Petit Verdot.
On the nose is raspberry, cherry, green bell pepper, chocolate, spice, herbaceous notes, vanilla and earth.
On the palate are notes of raspberry, cherry, plum, green bell pepper, chocolate, herbs, spice, vanilla and earth.
The wine is medium to full bodied with medium to + acidity and medium to + sandy tannins that leads to a medium to long drying fruit finish. A very enjoyable, drink now or store for enjoying later wine. Have a great rest of your weekend and may your week ahead be a good one. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 7 years ago
Very distinct smell and a taste that doesn't resemble that smell, but taste very good. I enjoyed this very much, and it surprised me in a positive way — 3 years ago
Wow. Doesn’t have that annoying mulleryness I don’t like.
Nose is elegant. Peach pit. Terrific.
Palate is juicy. Mineral. Moderate but lovely fruit. Really good.
5 days in still good. Elegant fruit. Mineral. Juicy. So balanced. Wow. What an incredibly well made bottle of wine.

The fruit & sense of place is so strong just from the nose…I could live here. Freshly picked strawberries, cardamon, old barn wood, but all so vibrant that it’s in 3D. Palate picks up the aromatics & redoubles them in intensity, along with black currants. So satisfying & generous, imagine in no small part helped by the six years of age.Lovely integrated mouthfeel too. — 2 years ago
