Very distinct smell and a taste that doesn't resemble that smell, but taste very good. I enjoyed this very much, and it surprised me in a positive way — a year ago
I think how the wines were picked off in our little G-Max vertical is a nice way to rank the vintages: 2017, 2016, 2014, 2015. The 2017 was clearly everyone’s favourite and 2015 the least. I enjoyed the 2014 more at this stage, but the 2016 saw more fans. Frankly, all nitpicking when operating at this level, but I loved seeing all the wines side by side. A privilege really.
The 2015 stood out as the ripest of the lot. Just so different in style from the rest - exotic fruits dominating, creamy nuances coming through, monstrous concentration and density, and even a touch oily. Nevertheless, like the others, it was all wrapped in searing acidity and stoney minerality. A very Baroque wine and to me stylistically reminiscent of another era of KP’s wine (the era that established his wines as the Montrachets of Germany), though really its simply a consequence of the vintage. Open for business now, but will only really hit its peak in a decade or more. — 2 years ago
The fruit & sense of place is so strong just from the nose…I could live here. Freshly picked strawberries, cardamon, old barn wood, but all so vibrant that it’s in 3D. Palate picks up the aromatics & redoubles them in intensity, along with black currants. So satisfying & generous, imagine in no small part helped by the six years of age.Lovely integrated mouthfeel too. — 7 months ago
Bright tart cherry and berry upfront and that highly desirable Pinot earthiness that pairs so well with salmon, pork, cheeses, and charcuterie. I am surprised some folks have rated it so low in comparison to how good it tastes! I would definitely buy this again! — 2 years ago
One of those cases where I can't make a mere sip and fight for the right to finish the bottle. Yet it's sad, cause it's not available anymore in my local store. The first thing to notice is the pale colour of the wine. Apparently, caused by gentle extraction. A beautiful bouquet of fried sunflower seeds, raspberry, strawberry, dark chocolate, spices and gouache. Delicate on the palate, juicy and almost perfectly balanced with good acidity and velvety tannins. It is also flavourful and has a long-lasting aftertaste. To summarize, it is approachable and delicious Pinot Noir, stylistically closer to Bourgogne with a ripe twist. — 2 years ago
Papaya, peach, rose, wet stones
26 days of skin contact - light golden color, almost like an oaky white
I love the slight funk without being too wild — 8 months ago

Pinotman /// Andreas
This - drink now wine was really not made for aging - !!!! was lost in my cellar. I have no system whatsoever and like surprises. Lots of acidity. Faint kerosine notes like in an aged Riesling. Lemon curd. Meyer lemon. Crushed partially oxidized apple pulp. After 1 hour and reaching RT profound apricot flavors and a touch bitter. A great wine for an at the time a ridiculous low price. I think this is not made any more. — 6 months ago
