See previous note about Fermoy being served at the Danish Royal Wedding. A herbaceous Margaret River Cabernet with geranium, menthol and some green notes on the nose. Black currant, cassis - trace of chocolate on the palate. After an hour in the decanter it was drinking at its peak. Resolved tannins. — 22 days ago
See previous notes. Put simply this is a stunning Chardonnay as its Show Record will attest, with at least 5 Trophies including Best Wine in Show at the Royal Hobart International Wine Show. A good combination of citrus and stone fruit with leesy complexity and incredible length of flavour. Demonstrates once again how great Margaret River is for Chardonnay. I’m glad I have 3 bottles left. A huge bargain at $30 per bottle. — 15 days ago
Commis bev pairing, first time drinking Aussie riesling. Aged riesling paired with slow-poached egg yolk, smoked dates, alliums, malt — 3 hours ago
How nice it is to move away from domestic wines, and relearn that there are equally outstanding examples on other continents - let me introduce you to exhibit A.
This is an Aussie benchmark displaying grapefruit, lemon and a hint of lanolin. Palate is squeaky clean, with a razor-sharp, flinty edge. Finishes long, with tension and weight. Kissed with light oak treatment, and pristine white fruits, this will run well beyond another 15 years. Brilliant. — a day ago
Drinking well but 10+ years left. Good depth of blue@and black fruit with minty eucalypt twist. Still alot of tannin, but fully ripe and fine and powdery. Very good! — 2 days ago
