Blend of 50% Touriga Nacional, 35% Touriga Franca, 10% Tinta Roriz, 4% Tinta Barroca & 1% Alicante Bouschet, aged in used French oak for 14 months, aromas of fresh dark berry flavors with herb, spice and cedar notes. On the palate flavors of blueberry and plum with licorice, cedar, espresso and spicy herbs. Fine ripe tannins, medium finish ending with fruit, cedar, spice and herb character. Buenisimo este vino, para comer con pollo o pescado. Lo combinamos con pollo a la toscana y estuvo exquisito. — 20 days ago
On the nose, this is immediately thin-skinned lime. Some dustiness on the nose too if that makes sense... On the palate, this is mineral, that crisp lime flavor, sage... The texture is the absolute star of the show here... Such a nice medium plus body... Several steps from a patio wine. So elegant but also refreshing... Acidic but no sharp flavors here. A creek winding through smooth stones... The finish is long and somehow satisfying for such a refreshing wine... Paired with several morel mushroom courses... — 7 days ago
This was a lucky acquisition in 2008. Two states, five cities and seven homes later, survived. I'm so happy and relieved that it kept as well as it did! A truly amazing wine that lives up to its reputation! Sublime Velvet. — a month ago
